For the purpose of this clause Education for sustainable development refers to an approach to learning and knowledge dissemination that focuses on integrating principles of sustainability, environmental stewardship and social equity into the pedagogy of a given school. Sustainable practices refer to actions, behaviors, and methods that priorities the well-being of the environment and society over the long term. Sustainable technologies are innovative tools, processes, systems, and solutions that are designed and implemented with the goal of minimising negative environmental impacts while promoting social well-being.
