THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE SUBJECTS OF SCIENCE AND THE ENVIRONMENT THROUGH HOSTING EVENTS, THE PROVISION OF GRANTS, AND FINANCIAL AND NON-FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO SCIENTIFIC FIELD RESEARCH, AND BY PROMOTING RESEARCH AND DISSEMINATING THE USEFUL RESULTS OF THAT RESEARCH.
