Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT TO PROMOTE AND ADVANCE EDUCATION, THE ARTS, HERITAGE AND ANY OTHER PURPOSES WHICH ARE EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE ACCORDING TO THE LAWS OF ENGLAND AND WALES AS THE CHARITY TRUSTEES SHALL IN THEIR ABSOLUTE DISCRETION THINK FIT BY (IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT LIMITED) TO: (1) PRESERVING FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE COMMUNITIES AND PEOPLE OF TILBURY AND THURROCK AND FOR THE PUBLIC AT LARGE, THE HISTORICAL, ARCHITECTURAL AND CONSTRUCTIONAL HERITAGE OF TILBURY RIVERSIDE STATION INCLUDING FLOATING LANDING STAGE AND PROMOTING PUBLIC ACCESS TO, STUDY AND APPRECIATION OF TILBURY RIVERSIDE STATION INCLUDING FLOATING LANDING STAGE); (2) PROVIDING FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE COMMUNITIES AND PEOPLE OF TILBURY AND THURROCK AND FOR THE PUBLIC AT LARGE FACILITIES FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION WITHIN TILBURY RIVERSIDE STATION INCLUDING FLOATING LANDING STAGE IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE PERSONS FOR WHOM THE FACILITIES ARE INTENDED. (3) ADVANCING FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE COMMUNITIES AND PEOPLE OF TILBURY AND THURROCK AND FOR THE PUBLIC AT LARGE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE HISTORY AND HERITAGE OF TILBURY DOCKS AND ITS ASSOCIATION WITH THE NATIONAL HISTORY OF EMPLOYMENT, TRADE AND MIGRATION IN AND THROUGH THE THAMES ESTUARY. (4) PROMOTING FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT THE EDUCATION OF VETERANS TO PREPARE FOR ENTRY TO ANY OCCUPATION, TRADE OR PROFESSION AFTER LEAVING THE ARMED FORCES IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY THROUGH OFFERING BURSARIES FOR EDUCATION; AND (5) ADVANCING THE ARTS AND EDUCATION IN THE ARTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE COMMUNITIES AND PEOPLE OF TILBURY AND THURROCK AND FOR THE PUBLIC AT LARGE BY THE ESTABLISHMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF FACILITIES WITHIN TILBURY RIVERSIDE STATION INCLUDING FLOATING LANDING STAGE FOR THE CREATION, PRESENTATION, PERFORMANCE AND PUBLIC APPRECIATION OF WORKS OF ART.
