TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE STUDY OF ARCHAEOLOGY AND HISTORY IN WATFORD AND THE SURROUNDING AREA AND TO PROMOTE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT THE PRESERVATION, INVESTIGATION, EXCAVATION AND RESTORATION OF LOCAL ANTIQUTIES AND BUILDINGS OF HISTORICAL INTEREST IN THE SAID AREA.
