TO UNDERTAKE RESEARCH AND EXCAVATION OF SITES THREATENED BY DAMAGE OR DESTRUCTION DUE TO REDEVELOPMENT, ETC, AND THER SITES THAT WOULD YIELD INFORMATION CONCERNING NEARBY SITES WHICH ARE THREATENED. TO PROMOTE THE STUDY OF LOCAL HISTORY AND TO RECORD THE OBSERVATIONS AND FINDINGS OF THESE RESEARCHES AND STUDIES IN SUITABLE MEDIA AND TO DISPLAY FINDS AND DISSEMINATE INFORMATION, THROUGH EXHIBITIONS, LECTURES, ETC.
