To encourage, promote and improve the breeding of Longhorn cattle and to maintain their purity. To maintain a herdbook of Longhorn cattle in furtherance to the above objects but not further or otherwise the Society shall have the following powers: To promote shows and/or sales of Longhorn cattle; To do all things necessary for the attainment of the above objects.
