Charitable objects
3.1 TO RELIEVE POVERTY, SICKNESS AND DISTRESS ARISING THEREFROM OF PERSONS IN YORKSHIRE AND HUMBERSIDE ("THE AREA OF BENEFIT") WHO AE SUFFERING FROM MENTAL ILLNESS OR MENTAL INCAPACITY ("BENEFICIARIES") AND IN PARTICULAR BENEFICIARIES FROM THE SOMALI AND FROM OTHER BLACK AND MINORITY ETHNIC COMMUNITIES WHO ARE NEW MIGRANTS, REFUGEES OR ASYLUM SEEKERS, BY ASSISTING THEM TO ACCESS STATUTORY AND OTHER SERVICES AND OTHERWISE OBTAIN FULL RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES AS CITIZENS. 3.2 TO PROVIDE FACILITIES FOR COUNSELLING AND SUPPORT AND FOR SOCIAL AND LEISURE ACTIVITIES FOR BENEFICIARIES IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT. 3.3 TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN ALL MATTERS PERTAINING TO MENTAL HEALTH IN RELATION TO THE BENEFICIARIES.
