FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT TO PROMOTE COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN THE SPORT OF RUGBY FOOTBALL IN READING AND THE SURROUNDING AREA, PARTICULARLY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY AMONGST UNDERREPRESENTED GROUPS SUCH AS YOUNG PEOPLE FROM SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED BACKGROUNDS, WOMEN AND GIRLS AND PEOPLE OF MIXED ABILITY, BY PROVIDING GRANTS OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO CHARITIES, VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS, DESIGNED TO ASSIST WITH THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES, EQUIPMENT AND OPPORTUNITIES TO ENABLE PARTICIPATION AND TO REMOVE BARRIERS TO PARTICIPATION.
