The Parks continues to be well used by the community as the major open space in this area of Seaham. There are many sports groups who use the park as their home ground:- Football - Seaham Red Star Football Club plus 4 junior football teams Seaham Town Bowls Club - mens and ladies Cricket - numerous teams of a variety of age groups There is also a well used play park and bmx/skatepark
