1) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE INHABITANTS OF NORTH WEST OF ENGLAND. 2) TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE WITH THE OBJECTIVES OF IMPROVING THE CONDITION OF THE LIFE OF INHABITANTS.
