Charitable objects

(1) THE MAINTENANCE, UPKEEP AND REPAIR OF HOMES FOR THE BENEFIT OF MEN WHO ARE UNABLE TO MAINTAIN THEMSELVES BY THE OWN EXERTIONS, AND WHO ARE GOOD CHARACTER AND WHO SHALL HAVE WORKED AT OR IN CONNECTION WITH ANY OF THE COLLIERIES NOW WORKS, OR WHICH MAY BE ACQUIRED, AND WORKED BY THE BEDLINGTON COAL CO. LTD. AND FOR THEIR WIVES AND WIDOWS. (2) A WEEKLY PAYMENT NOT EXCEEDING 7/- PER WEEK (AS A PENSION) FOR THE RESIDENTS.
