THE SOCIETY EXISTS TO PROMOTE THE STUDY OF AND TO FOSTER THE PUBLIC UNDERSTANDING OF ARCHAEOLOGY AND LOCAL HISTORY WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO THE WESTERN MENDIPS, ESPECIALLY THE AREA FORMERLY SERVED BY AXBRIDGE RURAL DISTRICT COUNCIL.
