TO RELIEVE PEOPLE IN THE UNITED KINGDOM WHO ARE VISUALLY IMPAIRED BY THE PROVISION OF INFORMATION, ADVICE AND OTHER CHARITABLE FORMS OF SUPPORT TO SUCH VISUALLY IMPAIRED PEOPLE, ORGANISATIONS AND THE PUBLIC AT LARGE AND TO FACILITATE ACTIVITIES DESIGNED TO AMELIORATE AND PREVENT AVOIDABLE BLINDNESS.
