THE ADVANCEMENT OF AGRICULTURE AND HORTICULTURE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT. IN FURTHERANCE OF THIS OBJECT, THE SOCIETY SHALL PROMOTE AND IMPROVE, BY COMPETITION, THE BREEDING OF LIVESTOCK, ENCOURAGE THE IMPROVEMENT AND PRODUCTION OF FARM AND HORTICULTURAL PRODUCE BY EXHIBITIONS OR LIVESTOCK PRODUCE ETC.
