(1) TO ENCOURAGE PUBLIC PERFORMANCE OF THE WORKS OF HENRY PURCELL GEORGE FREDERICH HANDEL AND JOHANN SEBASTIAN BACH AND THEIR CONTEMPORARY COMPOSERS PARTICULARLY AFTER THE ARRANGEMENTS OF ARNOLD GOLDSBOROUGH. (2) TO ENCOURAGE THE UNDERSTANDING AND APPRECIATION OF MUSIC GENERALLY BUT ESPECIALLY MUSIC OF THE PERIOD 1600-1750.
