TO RELIEVE THE DISTRESS, POVERTY AND SUFFERING AMONG WOMEN WHO HAVE SUFFERED GRAVE OR PERSISTENT MALTREATMENT BY THE MEN WITH WHOM THEY ARE OR HAVE BEEN LIVING AND THE CHILDREN OF SUCH WOMEN IN SUCH MANNER AS MAY SEEM FIT TO THE COMPANY.
