Miss Alice Foakes gave the Foakes Hall to the town in 1934. It now provides a range of well-maintained and varied facilities at moderate prices (available on request) for the local community. These include a large main hall, smaller side hall and a meeting room, stage and scenery store, well-equipped kitchen and bar area and a projection room.
