TO PAY AND APPLY THE SAME IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS HEREINAFTER CONTAINED FOR SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSES AS IN THE ABSOLUTE DISCRETION OF THE TRUSTEES SHALL BEST PROMOTE,(1) THE STUDY OF, AND THE DISSEMINATION OF KNOWLEDGE CONCERNING AFRICAN AFFAIRS; OR (2) THE GENERAL EDUCATION IN AFRICA FOR ALL PERSONS AND OUTSIDE AFRICA FOR PERSONS WHO IN THE OPINION OF THE TRUSTEES ARE WHOLLY OR PARTLY OF AFRICAN DESCENT.
