Charitable objects
1) TO PROMOTE STUDY AND RESEARCH IN MUSICAL HISTORY WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO THE WORKS AND LIVES OF LATE NINETEENTH AND EARLY TWENTIETH CENTURY BRITISH COMPOSERS PROVIDED THAT THE RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH SHALL SO FAR AS PRACTICABLE BE PUBLISHED. 2) TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC IN THE ART OR SCIENCE OF MUSIC IN PARTICULAR BY MAINING A MUSEUM FOR THE PURPOSES OF FURTHERING SUCH EDUCATION. 3) TO PROTECT AND PRESERVE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC THE PROPERTY AND PAPERS OF MARGARET MAUD HARRISON AND SUCH OTHER ITEMS AS AREA OF SPECIA HISTORICAL, MUSICAL OR OTHER ARTISTIC INTEREST.
