TO ADVANCE THE MUSICAL EDUCATION OF THE COMPETITOR WHO SHOWS OUTSTANDING ABILITY AT THE NORTHFIELD (BIRMINGHAM) MUSIC FESTIVAL TO FURTHER HIS OR HER CAREER IN MUSIC BY MAKING A GRANT TOWARDS ONE YEAR'S TUITION FEES AND THE PURCHASE OF MUSIC ASSOCIATED THEREWITH UNDER SUCH RULES THAT MAY BE LAID DOWN BY THE SAID TRUSTEES FOR THE AWARD OF THE SAID PRIZE.
