FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC TO CONSERVE RESTORE AND RE-ESTABLISH TREES AND WOODLAND AREAS AND ALSO TO ESTABLISH NEW WOODLAND AREAS IN THE UNITED KINGDOM SO AS TO SECURE AND ENHANCE THE ENJOYMENT BY THE PUBLIC OF THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT SO FAR AS MAY BE CONSISTENT WITH GOOD FORESTRY PRACTICE. 2. TO FURTHER THE EDUCATION OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC AS TO THE USE AND UNDERSTANDING OF TIMBER AND AND ITS VARIOUS TYPES AND OF THE PRINCIPLES OF FORESTRY GENERALLY.
