THE OBJECT OF THE CONVENT IS TO ACT AS A RELIGIOUS COMMUNITY OF THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND TO DEVOTE EVERY FACULTY OF BODY, MIND AND SPIRIT TO GOD BY RESPONDING TO HIS CALL BY THE VOWS OF POVERTY, CHASTITY, OBEDIENCE, AND CHARITY IDENTIFIED IN PART 1 OF THE SCHEDULE TO THE SCHEME; AND MORE PARTICULARLY BY CARRYING ON VARIOUS CHARITABLE WORKS INCLUDING THE RELIEF OF THOSE IN NEED, THE ADVANCEMENT OF RELIGION, AND THE PROMOTION OF EDUCATION.
