Charitable objects
(1) TO PROMOTE THE EFFICIENCY OF THE ARMY FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN SUCH CHARITABLE WAYS AS THE TRUSTEES MAY DECIDE; AND (2) THE RELIEF OF PERSONS WHO ARE: (1) IN NEED, HARDSHIP AND DISTRESS; AND (B) ARE SERVING PERSONNEL OF THE ARMY OR THE DEPENDANTS OF SUCH PERSONS.
