THE IMPROVEMENT AND ADVANCEMENT IN GREAT BRITAIN OF THAT BRANCH OR ANY PART OF THAT BRANCH OF AGRICULTURE KNOWN AS HORTICULTURE (WHICH INCLUDES THE PRODUCTION OF FRUIT, VEGETABLES, NURSERY STOCK AND GREENHOUSE CROPS BUT WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO THE GENERALITY OF THE TERM HORTICULTURE) BY ADVANCING PROMOTING CONDUCTING ENCOURAGING OR SUPPORTING EDUCATION, INVESTIGATION, RESEARCH AND IXPERIMENTAL OR DEVELOPMENT WORK TO THAT END IN SUCH MANNER AND PUBLISHING DISSEMINATING AND APPLYING THE RESULT OF SUCH INVESTIGATIONS, RESEARCH AND WORK IN SUCH MANNER (BEING FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC OR A SUFFICIENT SECTION OF THE PUBLIC AT LARGE) IN ALL RESPECTS AS THE COMMITTEE OF MANAGEMENT SHALL IN THEIR ABSOLUTE DISCRETION FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE.
