Charitable objects

TO FURTHER THE EDUCATION AND TRAINING OF BRITISH TRADE UNIONISTS SO AS TO ENABLE THEM TO PLAY AN EFFECTIVE, RESPONSIBLE AND DEMOCRATIC ROLE IN THE BRITISH TRADE UNION MOVEMENT AND IN THEIR INDIVIDUAL TRADE UNIONS; AND IN PARTICULAR TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR THEM TO STUDY THE PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICES OF THE TRADE UNION MOVEMENT AND THE LEGISLATION EFFECTING THE SAME BOTH IN BRITAIN AND THE OTHER COUNTRIES FROM TIME TO TIME CONSTITUTED AS THE EUROPEAN ECONOMIC COMMUNITY.
