TO RELIEVE POVERTY AND TO CONSERVE AND PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT IN PARTICULAR BY CARRYING OUT RESEARCH INTO THE CAUSES AND EFFECTS OF POVERTY IN AN ENVIRONMENTAL CONTEXT AND PUBLICISING THE RESULTS OF THAT RESEARCH."
