Charitable objects
3. Charitable objectives, the association shall be of a charitable nature with the following aims and objectives: 1) To advance the education of the public in the religion of Islam Sunni Brailevi school of thought within the framework of the Holy Quran and Sunnat by the provision of a mosque and Islamic cultural and education centre. 2) The promotion of religious harmony for the benefit of the public by: a. promoting Islam as a religion of peace and harmony especially through educating children and young adults for the benefit of all the world b. actively countering extremism of all religions especially through promoting Islam as a religion of peace and harmony and promoting community harmony and cohesion c. raising awareness including an awareness of the distinctive features of Islam and its common ground with other religions d. providing services amongst the communities of Burton upon Trent, including the Muslim community, to include mediation services to groups found in conflict with one another, as a means to build a culture of friendship, peace and harmony
