Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 3.1 TO ACT AS A RESOURCE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE AGE 16 – 24 WHO ARE STUDENTS AT SELBY COLLEGE AND WHO ARE LIVING IN SELBY DISTRICT, BY PROVIDING ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE AND ORGANISING PROGRAMMES OF EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER ACTIVITIES AS A MEANS OF: (A) ADVANCING IN LIFE AND HELPING YOUNG PEOPLE BY DEVELOPING THEIR SKILLS, CAPACITIES AND CAPABILITIES TO ENABLE THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCIETY AS INDEPENDENT, MATURE AND RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS; (B) ADVANCING EDUCATION; (C) PROMOTING VOLUNTEERING AND THE VOLUNTARY SECTOR FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN SELBY DISTRICT. 3.2 TO PROMOTE AND PROTECT THE PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH OF STUDENTS OF SELBY COLLEGE AGE 16 -24 IN SELBY DISTRICT THROUGH THE PROVISION OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, SUPPORT, EDUCATION AND PRACTICAL ADVICE.
