THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE:
A) TO DEVELOP THE CAPACITY AND SKILLS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED COMMUNITY OF OLDHAM IN SUCH A WAY THAT THEY ARE BETTER ABLE TO IDENTIFY, AND HELP MEET, THEIR NEEDS AND TO PARTICIPATE MORE FULLY IN SOCIETY.
B) THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY IN OLDHAM IN SUCH WAYS AS THE TRUSTEES FROM TIME-TO-TIME THINK FIT, IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY PROVIDING FOOD PARCELS TO INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN NEED.
