(A) TO PROMOTE THE EFFICIENCY OF THE REGIMENT AND TO MAINTAIN ITS HISTORY, TRADITIONS AND ESPRIT DE CORPS. (B) TO RELIEVE EITHER GENERALLY OR INDIVIDUALLY, PERSONS WHO ARE SERVING OR WHO HAVE SERVED IN THE REGIMENT THE 9TH QUEENS ROYAL LANCERS THE 12TH ROYAL LANCERS OR THE 27TH LANCERS WHO ARE IN CONDITIONS OF NEED HARDSHIP OR DISTREESS AND THEIR DEPENDANTS WHO ARE LIKEWISE SO QUALIFIED.
