Charitable objects
"TO PROMOTE AND ASSIST THE GENERAL RELIEF OF ALL DISABLED PERSONS IN THE DISTRICT OF COPELAND BY ASSISTING THE WORK OF THE STATUTORY AUTHORITIES AND VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS ENGAGED IN PROVIDING FACILITIES FOR THE PHYSICAL AND MENTAL RECREATION, DEVELOPING PHYSICAL AND MENTAL RECREATION, DEVELOPING PHYSICAL IMPROVEMENT, FURTHERING HEALTH, RELIEVING POVERTY, DISTRESS OR SICKNESS OR IN PURSUING ANY OBJECT WHICH NOW OR HEREAFTER MAY BE DEEMED BY LAW TO BE CHARITABLE".
