MEMORANDUM AND ARTICLES OF ASSOCIATION INCORPORATED 5 JUNE 1897, AMENDED BY SPECIAL RESOLUTIONS DATED 7 NOVEMBER 1987, 13 NOVEMBER 2001, 17 DECEMBER 2002, 20 JUNE 2005 AND 14 JUNE 2010.
(I) THE RELIEF OF NEED WHICH ARISES AS A RESULT OF POVERTY, OLD AGE, DISABILITY OR ILLNESS;
(II) TO PROVIDE FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION;
(III) IN THE INTERESTS OF THE SOCIAL WELFARE OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE LONDON BOROUGH OF TOWER HAMLETS AND SURROUNDING AREAS IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, OF THE WEAVERS WARD AND IN ORDER TO IMPROVE THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THOSE IN NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF POVERTY, YOUTH, AGE. INFIRMITY, DISABLEMENT, OR SOCIAL OR ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCE WITHOUT REGARD TO AGE, GENDER, ETHNICITY, SEXUALITY, RELIGION OR DISABILITY TO PROVIDE FACILITIES FOR RECREATIONAL AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITHIN THE MEANING OF THE RECREATIONAL CHARITIES ACT 1958.
